Straight Stairlifts

There are different types of stairlifts, straight and curved. The main difference is the straight stairlift tracks can only travel in a straight line and cannot turn the corner or go around a bend as the curved can.

At AIP Mobility Plus we offer several straight stairlift options.

  • The seats swivel so you can sit and exit safely. They can be manual or powered. Powered swivel seats have a manual override for emergency release if needed.
  • The footplate and seat can be folded up to increase space. The footplates can be manual or powered. The powered footplate and seat fold and unfold automatically merely by pressing a switch in the seat arm.
  • The footplate can easily be raised and lowered manually or by the use of a switch.
  • Two remote controls are standard. You can send you stairlift up or down without having to sit on it.
  • There are different types of tracks. The manual hinged track needs to be raised and lowered manually.  The powered hinged track is moved by the switch of a button. The slide track hinge moves smoothly with your chair both up and down.
